Face-to-face education is the priority, so if your child is well, please send them to school as usual. Children with mild, respiratory symptoms such as a runny nose, sore throat, or slight cough, who are otherwise well, can continue to attend TLG.
If your child is feeling unwell or has a high temperature and is showing the symptoms of Covid-19 or any other infectious illness, they should stay at home until they no longer have a temperature and are well enough to return. They are no longer advised to test for Covid-19 unless directed to by a medical professional.
The NHS website provides information on symptoms of Covid-19 and other infectious illnesses.
If your child has a positive COVID-19 test result they should try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 3 days after the day they took the test, if they can. During this time they should not attend TLG.
Staff and students who attend the TLG Centre whilst unwell, or with a high temperature and symptoms of infectious illnesses will be sent home. Staff will contact parents or carers of students where this is the case.
Staff or students who are close contacts of people who are unwell with an infectious illness should usually still attend the TLG Centre.

The TLG Centre may need to increase or add extra measures to help manage any local outbreaks. Because our schools and staff teams are very small, this might include temporarily operating with a reduced timetable, or having to partially or fully close the school if staff absence due to illness means it is not possible to operate safely.
